Thank you for shopping with Paw and Pet Supply. This page explains the payment methods we accept, how transactions are processed, and what happens if something goes wrong with a payment. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms below.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

  • Visa — credit and debit card payments, accepted securely.
  • Mastercard — credit and debit card payments, accepted securely.
  • Maestro — debit card payments, accepted securely.
  • American Express — credit and charge card payments, accepted securely.
  • Discover — credit card payments, accepted securely.
  • Diners Club — credit and charge card payments, accepted securely.
  • UnionPay — credit and debit card payments, accepted securely.
  • PayPal — pay via your PayPal account, or as a PayPal guest using a card.
  • Shop Pay — accelerated checkout, with optional pay-in-instalments on eligible orders (subject to eligibility and Shopify's terms and conditions).
  • Apple Pay — available on compatible Apple devices via Safari.
  • Google Pay — available on supported Android devices and the Chrome browser.

2. Currency and Pricing

All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). The price you see at checkout is the total price you pay — we add no extra taxes, charges, or fees. If you pay using a non-GBP account, your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion fee, which is outside our control.

3. Payment Processing and Security

All transactions are processed through Shopify Payments or the third-party payment provider you choose at checkout (for example PayPal). Our store uses SSL encryption to protect your payment information during transmission, and we never see or store your full card details on our servers. Your personal and payment information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Order Confirmation and Authorisation

Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully authorised, and you'll receive an order confirmation email to the address provided at checkout. We may cancel an order where payment cannot be verified or where fraudulent activity is suspected — if that happens to a genuine order of yours, contact us and we'll resolve it.

5. Buy Now, Pay Later (Shop Pay Instalments)

Shop Pay Instalments lets you split eligible orders into instalment payments. It is provided by Shopify's instalment partner, subject to their eligibility criteria and terms — Paw and Pet Supply is not a credit provider and plays no part in their approval decisions. Please review the instalment terms before completing a purchase.

6. Refunds and Chargebacks

Refunds are handled as set out in our Return & Refund Policy and are issued to the original payment method, in GBP. Once we process a refund, your bank or payment provider typically takes 3–10 business days to show it in your account.

If you believe an unauthorised transaction has occurred, contact us immediately at support@pawandpetsupply.com and notify your bank or payment provider. We'd always rather fix a problem directly than have you go through a dispute — we respond within 1 business day.

7. Failed or Declined Payments

If your payment is declined, your order will not be processed. Please check your payment details are correct and that your card or account has sufficient funds, or contact your bank for help. We are not responsible for fees your bank may charge in connection with a declined transaction.

8. Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers and our business, all orders go through fraud screening. We may ask for additional verification before processing an order, and we may cancel orders we reasonably believe to be fraudulent. Suspected fraud may be reported to the relevant authorities.
